What shipped, and when

A workpaper is a set of figures somebody signs. Six months later the question that matters is what it was computed under, so shipped changes to the engine, the reference data and the statutory content are recorded here with their dates.

Scope: ITR FNO produces automated, source-linked workpapers for CA review. It is not an e-filing service, legal opinion, tax audit, or substitute for your chartered accountant. Your CA decides the tax position and files the return.

Last reviewed . AY 2026-27 content remains subject to later official notifications.

What is listed here

User-visible changes only: how a figure is computed, checked or flagged; a reference dataset added or refreshed; a change originating in law, a notified form or professional guidance; and what a customer or a reviewing chartered accountant can see and do. Internal refactoring, tests and dependency upgrades are not listed — a record padded with them is one nobody reads.

Entries are written for a trader or a CA rather than copied from commit messages, and nothing appears here that did not actually ship.

NSE lot sizes, segment charges and a turnover calculator published

Reference data. Contract lot sizes are now carried as a dated snapshot of NSE's published contract specifications, with the source date shown beside the figure rather than an undated 'last updated' label. A turnover calculator computes the current ICAI absolute-difference figure alongside the superseded pre-2022 formula, so a reader arriving with a number from a broker blog can see which one governs and why they differ.

Every page now carries its own review date, canonical and preview card

Site. The visible 'Last reviewed' line, the sitemap's date for that URL and the page's structured data are now computed from one entry per page, so they cannot disagree. Five pages that had been sharing the homepage's link preview got their own. Structured data carries no author, no reviewer and no rating anywhere on the site: nobody is named here, and the reviewing chartered accountants are never named.

Automated checks block copy that overstates what this tool does

Site. A lint rule and a build-time check of the served pages reject any wording that claims the service files a return, guarantees an outcome, offers professional advice, or settles whether an audit applies. The checks run against the bytes a reader actually receives, not only the source, so copy assembled at runtime is covered too.

Phone verification added after sign-in

Service. New accounts confirm a mobile number before intake, so the number used to reach you about a blocking flag is one you have verified.

The site was rebuilt on one shared component library

Site. The public pages, the intake flow and the review screen now draw on the same components and colour tokens, so a workpaper card looks and behaves identically wherever it appears.

Review screen, dashboard and workpaper export

Service. A completed submission can be inspected line by line with each figure's source trace visible, and downloaded as a pack to hand to a chartered accountant. Past submissions stay listed under your account.

The section 44AB inputs a broker file cannot answer are now asked for explicitly

Engine. Whether cash receipts and payments are each within 5%, the regime chosen, total income before deductions, and whether the client declared presumptively in any of the five preceding years are taken as stated inputs rather than assumed. Where one is missing, the workpaper says which conclusion is resting on an unsupplied fact instead of presenting the result as settled.

The sample on the public pages is real engine output

Site. The figures, the source traces and the flags shown on the homepage and the sample page are regenerated on every build by running the production pipeline over a sample Zerodha-shaped workbook. Nothing on those pages is a mockup, and no figure is typed by hand.

Payment separated from preparation

Service. The fixed fee is taken when the files are in and before any preparation begins, and the refund position is stated on the same screen: a full refund if the statements need work beyond the standard Zerodha Tax P&L scope.

ITR Helper is now ITR FNO

Site. The service moved to itrfno.com. The scope did not change: source-linked ITR-3 workings for review and sign-off by a chartered accountant.

ITR FNO opened for AY 2026-27

Service. Secure upload of broker reports, a fixed fee per return, and a source-linked ITR-3 workpaper covering the Part A Trading Account fields, the balance-sheet lines and the section 44AB tests, with unresolved facts raised as flags.

Before this record began

Work predating the first entry above is not reconstructed here. Inventing dated releases to fill a gap would defeat the only purpose this page has.

AY 2026-27 is the final assessment year governed by the Income-tax Act, 1961. Statutory content on this site remains subject to later official notifications, and material changes will appear here with the date they took effect for preparation.
