Licences and attribution

The open-source work this product is built on, and the public reference data it cites — including the terms position on NSE contract specifications, stated in full rather than in the half that suits us.

Scope: ITR FNO produces automated, source-linked workpapers for CA review. It is not an e-filing service, legal opinion, tax audit, or substitute for your chartered accountant. Your CA decides the tax position and files the return.

Open-source dependencies

28 direct dependencies, under Apache-2.0, ISC, MIT. Versions are as installed, not as the version range declares, because an attribution notice is about what actually shipped. Each identifier below was read from that package's own manifest rather than assumed — not everything in a JavaScript project is MIT, and 7 of these are not.

Public reference data

Figures taken from a public source are cited with the source and the date the source itself published them, never presented as this product's own data.

F&O contract specifications (market lot sizes)

Published by: National Stock Exchange of India Limited (NSE)
Source: https://nsearchives.nseindia.com/content/fo/fo_mktlots.csv

How it is used. Market lot sizes per underlying and expiry, carried as a dated snapshot and shown with the source's own last-modified date. They appear as the contract multiplier in worked turnover examples on the F&O reference pages.

The position, stated plainly. NSE's robots.txt permits crawling of this path, and lot size is a contract specification rather than market data — it is published by the exchange and republished by every major broker in its own contract notes and help pages. NSE's Terms of Use nonetheless restrict republication of material from its site. This site therefore presents lot size as derived context within a tax working, cites NSE as the source with the date the file was published, and does not offer the dataset for download or as a feed. If NSE asks for it to be removed, it will be removed.

What this does not cover. This position covers contract specifications only. It does NOT extend to bhavcopy, settlement prices, quotes or any other priced market data, which are commercial products licensed by the exchange and are not used anywhere in this product.
